Movement Choir is a site specific choreographic intervention and research proposition located in the town of Green River, Utah. The project is deeply rooted in the social, cultural, and political implications attached to the Green River Launch Complex, an installment of the White Sands Missile Range, as well as the work of Rudolf Laban, borrowing the notation system, notions of Space Harmony, and practice of the Movement Choir.

Movement Choirs exists at 3 sites, each with a history of looking, launching, and testing. One can go to each place read the provided score, and embed the site with new movement, new history, new action.

This project was facilitated and supported by Epicenter’s Frontier Fellowship.
